Kaleidograph Creative Pattern Toy, Crystal
We all went through kindergarten, but did you know the very concept was invented by a fellow named Friedrich Froebel in the middle of the 19th century? Until then adults didn't believe children of that age were capable of group learning Ð which shows you how much grownups know!
Now, Froebel did a lot more than just give this grade a name. He also developed a whole series of teaching tools to foster child creativity and growth. Froebel blocks are perhaps his most famous ones (check them out in the related products section of this page). Inspired by Froebel, now comes Kaleidograph, a deceptively simple toy made up of cut-out colored cards that will generate billions of different visual patterns by being stacked and rotated.
Made in the USA from durable, non-toxic paperboard, each card measures 4 3/4 inches square (12 cm) and comes in a 12-card set that includes a two-sided poster with over 150 example designs to challenge and inspire. Available in Flora and Crystal patterns.
For ages 5 to adult, because some of us never want to stop learning how to be creative!
